ICT4Renewables is a specialized toolkit designed to support energy access programs across West Africa. Developed for EnDev and GIZ, the platform combines geospatial mapping, project tracking, and marketplace functions to improve transparency and coordination in the off-grid energy sector. It offers real-time visibility into solar and mini-grid installations, enabling governments, donors, and private providers to make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Energy planners and donors in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea lacked accurate, up-to-date data on renewable energy deployments. Project information was scattered, siloed, or incomplete, making it difficult to assess impact, identify overlaps, or coordinate expansion efforts. The absence of digital M&E tools hindered accountability and private sector engagement.
