Building local capacity and digital infrastructure for public health analytics in Zambia.
As part of Zambia’s post-COVID health resilience agenda, Speedykom supported the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI) in partnership with CDC and Jembi to design national-level health dashboards and co-develop a health informatics curriculum. The initiative strengthened Zambia’s ability to analyze, visualize, and act on health data — empowering public officials with tools and training tailored to local needs.
Zambia faced limited in-country capacity for data analytics and lacked effective tools to visualize trends in health indicators, disease outbreaks, and system performance. During COVID-19, data fragmentation and delays hindered preparedness and coordination. There was a need for local skills, institutional tools, and scalable systems to ensure lasting digital maturity in public health.
